Ideal Home has highlighted Argos’s Living and Home 4 Tier Shoe Rack with Coat Hanger, listed at £10, as a budget option for storing shoes and hanging coats. The rack has four tiers and eight double hooks, but the report says it is new to Argos and the writer has not tested its sturdiness or assembly.
Ideal Home has highlighted Argos’s £10 Living and Home 4 Tier Shoe Rack with Coat Hanger as an inexpensive way to organise shoes and outerwear in a crowded hallway. The rack combines four shoe-storage tiers with eight double hooks, though the article says the product is new to Argos and its durability and assembly have not been tested by the writer.
The product featured is a four-tier rack with two rows of double hooks. Ideal Home says the hooks can be used for coats, hats, bags and keys, while the shelves can hold shoes or other items such as handbags and storage baskets. The article’s writer also suggests using the hooks for a dog’s harness and leads.
Ideal Home frames the rack as a practical option for households with limited hallway space or a tight budget, where buying separate shoe and coat storage may be less convenient. The report says the black version costs £10 at Argos. It also lists a white version with the same four-tier layout at £11, and a five-tier version at £11.
The article says the metal frame should be wipeable if it gets dirty, but that is presented as an expectation rather than a tested finding. The writer describes the product as functional rather than decorative and says they cannot comment on how sturdy it is or how easy it is to assemble.
A Low-Cost Option for Crowded Hallways
For households dealing with wet-weather clutter, the rack brings shoe storage and coat hooks into one unit, which may help make use of a narrow entryway without buying two separate pieces of furniture. Its listed £10 price makes it a low-cost option compared with the more expensive alternatives mentioned in the Ideal Home report.
That price and combined layout may appeal to renters or people furnishing a home on a budget, but the report does not establish how much the rack can hold, how long it will last, or whether it performs well in everyday use. Shoppers weighing the price against those practical questions should check the product listing and customer information before purchasing.

How the Argos Rack Compares
The recommendation comes from an Ideal Home product report, rather than a product test or announcement from Argos. Its writer describes looking for compact storage after moving to a home with a narrow hallway, and says the £10 rack caught their attention because it combines shoe and coat storage.
The article also names a five-tier version for £11 and a white four-tier version for £11. It points to other shoe-and-coat racks from VASAGLE and Amazon Basics as alternatives, describing them as more expensive or as having different design features. Those comparisons reflect the article’s shopping coverage; the supplied material does not give prices for those alternatives or a direct performance comparison.
““For just £10, this clever Argos storage solution has four tiers for your shoes — or even your handbag and storage baskets — and then eight double hooks for you to hang coats, hats, bags, and keys.””

Durability and Assembly Remain Untested
The Ideal Home report does not include a hands-on assessment of sturdiness, assembly time or long-term use. It also provides no weight limit, measurements, materials specification beyond referring to a metal frame, or customer-review summary for this specific Argos product. Those details should not be inferred from the article’s recommendation.
The listed prices and availability are also subject to change. The supplied source does not confirm current stock, delivery costs or whether the different colour and tier options remain available at the same prices.

Check the Current Argos Listing
Readers interested in the rack can check Argos’s current product page for availability, price, dimensions, assembly instructions and any customer reviews. The Ideal Home article offers the product as a budget suggestion, but does not report a follow-up test or a response from Argos about its construction or expected lifespan.
Before buying, shoppers may want to compare the rack’s size and stated capacity with the space and items they intend to store. Any later changes to price, stock or product information would need to be confirmed through the retailer.
